I just bought a sandisk ultra usb 3.0 512gb. I was wondering how much this will hold. I want to put microsoft office 2003 on it and work off the usb drive and didn’t know if I had enough space.

Microsoft Office should take at most 10 GB so you will have reams of room on your 512 GB USB drive for files.
Do NOT reformat the drive. It’s exFAT format will handle all types and sizes of files with a minimum of overhead.
Thank you very much for your info. I was hoping I had enough space. Glad you said something about format, I’d seen on some places some were formatting the disk
