How do I get the My Passport Essential to work on both mac and pc?

I just bought this and was wondering how i can get it to work on both mac and pc. I use mac at home and PCs at school. Can anyone help?

Reformat it on your Mac using MS-DOS.  Then you can use it on both.  However, 2 things to keep in mind.

  1. FAT 32 file format has a 4 GB file size limitation.

  2. There will be a tendency for the drive’s data to get corrupted going between Mac and PC.  Keep copies of the data you’re transfering back and forth backed up elsewhere.
