How can I connect my Firewire WD My Passport Studio to a USB port?

My two My Passport Studios were connected to my Mac Mini which died. And now I want to access the data on them, but now I have only a 2005 MacBook with USB ports. Is there such a thing as a reliable Firewire to USB converter that can be recommended?

Of course I googled this and there are many adaptors and converters but there is a lot of info saying that these things do not work. So I am asking here because maybe someone with the same WD My Passport Studio has solved the same problem.

ignore this. I fogot that the My Passport drives also have a USB port.
