Help! Mac cannot detect My Passport

My 1 TB WD My Passport suddenly became undetected in Mac. PCs can see it but there are some files and folders that I can’t open or copy.

Hi,

What’s your drive file format (NTFS, HFS, ExFAT or FAT32) and did you try connecting the drive to a different USB port and/or with a different USB cable?

Hi @G_Rayn . The drive is in ExFat format. Yes, we tried plugging it to a different computer (Mac Mini). There’s a prompt that says “Disc inserted is not readable by the computer”

I have the same problem. Not sure how I can see the format of my drive though. I can’t use another USB cable neither because of the specific connection point of My Passport drive.
The drive shows up in my Macbook Disk Utility but not on my desktop anymore and therefor cannot consult it anymore…
Can anybody help me with this?

We are stuck with the same problem. You can use an ordinary micro USB cable. Just plug it in the bigger hole.
