To anyone who has a .cm0013 file in their drive after connecting it to a Mac, TV, or ChromeOS device I just had the same problem. I was able to see my data but not rename, delete, etc… I could copy it but it was locked for editing. So I went back to my Chromebox and plugged it in. I was able to modify it on there. So this time i did the safe eject option and plugged it back into my PC and it works just fine now.
Never thought that safe eject was that important.
