I have several WD MyBook Studio Firewire 800 drives and want to connect them to a new iMac with its Thunderbolt ports. I know Apple sells a Thunderbolt to Firewire adapter for this, but the Apple support website indicates that not all external drives work in this manner. Has anyone had either POSITIVE or NEGATIVE experience with these WD Firewire 800 drives in trying to do this?
