I am facing an issue with My wd passport 070A hard drive. whenever I connect to my pc, it is not reflecting in my computer menu. When i check with the device manager option, it is showing in the storage management as unallocated/unknown/not initialized. I am not able to initialize the disk as it is showing access denied. Once I check with 3rd party app. like mini tool partion/easeus, it is showing as read only. I have tried to remove the option for read only via cmd. but it is also getting failed. Please help me. it is 2tb drive

Try try to initialize the dive while connected to any other computer. If it gives you the same error message then you should replace the drive if it in under warranty period.

Your drive has lost its file system and that’s why it is showing unallocated status. To get access on your unallocated hard drive you need to format it and redefine the file system. As you said the you are unable to format the disk then i suggest you to use diskpart command to format it.
