G-Drive 6GB Causing Glitching Sound On My Mac

Hi everybody,

New to the forum - I have an issue with a G-Drive 6GB. It works fine but is causing a glitching/bump sound through the speakers in my recording studio. When I unmount the drive, the noise goes away, when I mount, it comes back! It’s annoying and working in a recording studio its a big no-no.

Anybody had this experience? Is there a fix?

I’m on a new Mac Studio M1 Max, 10 core CPU, 32 core GPU, 64GB Ram and 2TB HD. I don’t think the issue is with the computer - my studio monitors seem to be picking up the sound directly from the drive. Very frustrating!
