So I have the WD Security setup on my drive and I do have it set to automatically unlock on my laptop so I can access all of my data on the drive, however, I would like to go ahead remove the password but I don’t remember it. Is there anyway to do this? I mean I could copy all the data to another drive and then format this one, however, honestly that is really a pain in the butt to do. Thanks for any help.
There isn’t any way to recover the password, at least to my knowledge (otherwise it would be a security hole).
I’d say your only way is the pain in the butt (and be thankful the password is cached so you can access the data at all 
).
