Extremely Slow

I bought my passport yesterday, this morning I began backing up my hardrive, bear in mind that this computer is quite slow as it is, but my backup has been running for 7 or 8 hours now and is only 4.8GB of 20GB complete … this is not the norm correct???

It is NOT! , however the backup speed will depend of your computer Speed…

BTW: Copying the files manually to the external drive will be way faster and will be completed in a timely manner
