My WD 2tb my book external hard drive has a esata port, firewire and usb output. The usb is a bit slow and my pc doesn’t have a firewire port, the pc does have a usb3 and sata port. Can I use the esata as a data backup port and is that faster than the usb port? The drive belonged to my late father in law who had a mac but I only have a newer style PC laptop.
My laptop has usb3 and sata input if I can use the esata what sort of cable do I need?
I have a photo if there’s a way to send it.
