I have been using my My Book for a while, and didn’t initially set up security when I started using it. I would like to use security now, but when I try to set the password with the WD Security app, I get a message saying “Security on this drive has not been enabled”. Is it possible to somehow set security/password on a drive after you have been using it? Thanks very much!
Ok - problem seemed to be that I didn’t reboot the PC after installing the WD Security application. WD - perhaps there should be a reminder to reboot… Rebooted and now it let me set the password. Will leave this here in case anyone else does the same thing
