Good day, I have a HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook PC, with Windows 10 64 bit. I have a WD Elements 1078 USB Device - 1862.98 GB drive. When I plug it into the laptop, it is recognized and I see the folders. If I right click and select properties, it shows as Read Only. I also get errors when trying to go into some, but not all, of the sub folders on the drive. I’ve attempted to remove the read only attribute, but then i get errors stating I don’t have permission. I’m the administrator.
If I plug this same drive into a pc of mine, running Windows 7, I don’t have any of these problems.
Help would be appreciated. I’m a fairly novice user.
