Defragmentation and cleaning

Hi,

I’m in the need of defragmenting and cleaning up my WD MyBook external hard drives. They are performing very sluggishly.

I could not find any software of WD’s or functions in the Drive Utilities application that would do this. Is there a WD one for defragmenting and cleaning a drive?

If not, what would you recommend as the best solution for doing this? Software etc… any suggestions and help is much appreciated. Thank you for your time.

There’s no WD software that has a defrag feature, lets see if another user can help out with a tip or information on this matter.

If you have windows you can defrag the drive using the windows defragmetation tool:
