My 8GB V1 Silver Fuze finally died. Got just a hair over 2 years out of it. not bad.

it’s not really dead but the battery is toast and the charge lasts only @ an hour.

has anyone here sucessfulyl replaced a battery and is it worth it?

otherwsie - if anyone wants this thing? or i can donate it for rockbox testing, etc…

Upon visiting the Rockbox page, it appears that they managed to stabilize the v1 port.

I’m sure replacing the battery can be done successfully, but is very risky.
