Date/time/memory issues

I’m not really sure where the problem might lie, so here are the symptoms and other info I hope is relevant.  I hope somebody can help.

  • The player no longer remembers what was playing last when I turn it on again
  • Dates & times of the database files arelisted asbeing in December 2002, and I don’t know how to set the clock on the Express
  • I recently updated the firmware to the new 01.01.05a version, and the system info reports as 01.01.05a, however, during the update the updater did not remove any of the files on the device
  • All files on the device are mp3s with id3 1.1 and 2.4 tags

My questions are:

  • How do I set the date & time on the device?
  • Can I get it to remember where it was playing when I shut it down again (used to work perfectly)?
    Thanks

I didn’t know the Express had a date and time.

The database refreshese frequently upon start-up. This causes the Express to lose its place in a song. This isn’t caused by anything that you did. This is a flaw in the firmware (or a hardware problem with the Express).
