I have problems with a WD Extern HD MDL WD20EARS  serial no: WDBAAU0020HBK-01

The Controller-/print card was burned off, and then I bought a new HD similar to the first one, but the card had been  changed to a new kind, so I am looking for a HD from around 25 dec 2010, which is the production date. Can anybody help me with this, maybe i can find the controller card another place, or is it possible to buy it somewhere?

Hello,

I don’t recommend that you try recovering your data by replacing the controller card. This might damage your drive even more.
