Can I use SmartWare for my WD My Book Home Edition 1TB?

I’ve just bought new WD Drive, My Book Essential 2TB. It comes with SmartWare software. I want to ask if I can use this software with my old WD My Book Home Edition. The software WD anywhere backup is too slow when running.

thanks for your suggestion. I will try it. I’ve just found out smartware is **bleep** after couple hours using it.

I use the paid version. Burn the file to a CD then you can boot from the CD if needed. That’s how I back up my system then very little OS system is actually in use. I partitioned my drive and have system and software on one and saved data on the other.
