I bought 3 8TB Deskstar NAS drives from BHPhoto and they all have problems. 2 are clicking and not recognized by the bios even. The other sort of buzzes, is visable in the BIOS but not in WinDFT. I can see it in HDTune and it has Smart Errors. They were manufactured in Jan 2017 and I just received them this week. Just a heads up. I have spoken with tech support and they have the serial numbers.

Maybe you should try contacting HGST’s Technical Support about the warranty.

I have contacted tech support at HGST. I think you missed that part of my post. They are being returned to POP for a refund.

I’m now struggling with what drives to buy after 3 out of 3 bad ones in ones.
