My Smartware Retrieve tab does not have a Backup Volume Selection box.
My Windows XP computer crashed. I had an complete backup from the day before. On my new Windows 8 computer I can view the backup volume in file management and have verified that the files are there, but I cannot retrieve them using Smartware because the volume does not show up All I can do in manually copy the files over, which will be very time consuming. How can I select the volume I want?
When retrieving a backup from another computer the retrieve option available is to one folder. This is pretty similar to dragging and dropping the entire backup volume to the desired computer.
You could have issues if the backup was done with and older version of Smatware and you are retrieving the files with a later version
