Backup songs onto Passport from my Mac and PC?

I have a Mac and a PC and would like to backup my songs from both laptops onto my Passport.

I’ve already backed up from my PC but my Mac is not letting me now.

Did you reformat the drive to FAT32? A drive formatted for Windows NTFS is read only on a Mac. See if this will work NTFS-3G http://sourceforge.net/projects/ntfs-3g/
