Backing up

Hi, As a tech peasant I need some help with back up. I have a WD Elelments 500Gb and WD My Passport Ultra 500Gb.

What I want to do is use 1 for a complete back up and the other to back up my dropbox and certain specific files and to run that daily.

A lot of what I read I dont understand, so basics please anyone

As I said in my question I need basic help, I don’t understand your links.
How do I get Dropbox to appear on the home screen?

Directing me to links is of no help to me at all.
