Backing up WD My Book Duo

Hi

I want to back up My Book Duo to external drive which I connected directly to My Book Duo via USB 3.0 in the back of the device.  I want to back up only the files on My Book, is there a way to do it?

Hello and welcome to the WD community.

You can manually select the files you want to backup and copy them from one unit to the other which is a better option for you, i am not sure if Smartware can backup from one drive to the other, lets see if another user can share some information regarding this matter.

The way I’m using my WD is that my desktop is running on really small SSD so everything is on my Book Duo 12TB Raid system, I’m also backing up everything manually to other hard drives and store them of-site this would be only if my Book Duo would fail hence I want something automatic to keep backing up at let say at night.
