I purchased my WD MyBook Essential 3TB drive with the intention of backing up my internal (C:) drive and two external 1 TB WD Passport drives where most of my data lives. It wasn’t until I installed the WD SmartWare software that I discovered it will backup ONLY the internal drive, not external drives (even other WD drives). Can anyone suggest backup software that would automatically backup these three drives to the 3TB MyBook. Or perhaps synchronize would be a better term. I have a lot of small data files (~2TB), but fewer than 500 files are added, edited, or deleted on any given day.
What about the Backup program that comes with Windoze?
