Can I back up two computers to one WD Elements external drive? Drive capacity is 2TB and I have only used .5 by backing up the first laptop. Somewhat afraid to try the second backup since I don’t want the files to get mixed up! Help!

You will need to Partition your WD Elements drive and assign one partition to each computer.
See Answer ID 3865 in Knowledge Base. When you open Start you may not see Disk Management as shown in the Answer. You can use Computer Management to get to Disk Management, or just type Disk Management in the Search box on the Tool Bar. Then follow the Answer instructions. I suggest you make three partitions, one for each computer and a third for future use.
You should be able to make a new partitions without loosing present backups. When you use WD Backup you will see both partitions, but you will only have access to the one for the computer you are connected too,
