Awesome. Shouldn’t have started an arguement in the first place, no one here was looking for one.
Also, CB, did you use them on normal EQ? I don’t like the way they sound on normal, I don’t really like the way any headphones sound on normal though. But personally, if you did it on normal on rock, I don’t think it does it justice. I really think the only true way to tell if you like them is to use the custom EQ to get it sound how you want it to. iPods don’t have custom EQs though do they? I don’t know if I could deal with that.
Although I said I was done…since Conversion Box is now “acting moderator”… I’ll explain my issue. What rubbed me the wrong way was shenanigans saying “obviously” the Bose are better than the JVCs. It wasn’t the OP who asked, but scroll up and see that someone asked if anyone had used the Bose. I was just replying to that question. Starting the reply out saying what you think is obvious implies that it was not obvious to me and I find that condescending.
Look, only I know what I meant by it. I’m telling you I did not mean anything cocky by saying obviously, it’s just the word I chose. Stop over thinking it, if I wanted to be mean or something I would of been sarcastic. Not even joking, it’s frustrating me that you are conviced I was trying to be mean even though I’m telling you it was just an honest reply.

I used the same Custom EQ that I always used and they sounded good, Im sure some tweaking would make it better. I have no Idea about the ipoop I have never even played with one.

I’m just going by from what I heard once. All my friends have them, but I’ve never picked it up and searched, and when I asked a few, they had no idea what an EQ was.
Ok. I’m cool. Sorry if I was a witch.
(But NEVER tell a woman to stop overthinking. It’s not gonna happen.) :womanvery-happy:
I know I complained about spending $400 on audio equipment. I complain about money a lot. Our pool is getting old and there’s a leak. It looks like we’ll be getting a new one. I don’t even think we should, we barely use it and it’s a waste of money, but you know what, obviously someone does around here so it’s going to happen more than likely. If you want to spend your money on expensive headphones, go ahead, most people don’t but it shouldn’t stop you from getting them. All my friends except like 3 have Xbox 360s. That didn’t stop me from getting a PS3 though. Like I said, I’ll probably see if I can try Bose In Ear Headphones one day. If they are really that great, then maybe. The JVCs though honestly feel so good, I can’t even tell I have something in my ear. That’s really a selling point for them on me. Anyway, I searched and found this.

So I guess there is no custom EQ.
Re-reading that thread makes me laugh. We’ll never have that problem on here, feel bad for the guy though since he bought some decently priced headphones.

Relax and listen. Cammony I see what you are saying but that is not an excuse to use the forum as a place to express that by attacking another member. The better way to do this is to use the Private Message feature this board offers to tell the other person how you feel.
Shenanagins you have to understand that over the past 2 days your enthusiasm has come off a little condescending and harsh and not everyone understands your thinking.
Both of you took what you precieved as something but what was really nothing and turned it into a feud. What does that do to help anybody? Cammony Shenanagains didnt mean anything by saying “obviously” other to say that it Bose costing $100 will sound better than a $25 knock off. And Shenanagains you have to understrand how Cammony feels wheather its what you meant or not.
And now we can just forget this. AND MOVE ON!
I think we already did in each of our last posts. Little late this time peace keeper.

So Noted!
In other news, while you’re here, I tried to plug my Sansa Fuze into my TV and play it through that. I was just seeing what worked, tried the stereo and a few other TVs and they were fine, but when I tried my TV, there’s only an option for “video” aka the channel for using my PS3. So, there’s obviously no video output by the Fuze, but it should still take the audio, but it does not. Every other TV in this house does though, so I don’t get it.

Start a new thread.
Um, back to the thread, if anyone is still interested - if you have a good stereo, you’ll probably spend more on your speakers than you will on your receiver & CD/DVD player. Its where the sound makes its way to you, and that’s the important part. People seem to forget this with MP3 players, and opt for cheap headphones/earbuds which destroy the sound before it gets to you. The more you spend, the better they’ll sound…though there’s bound to be a point of diminishing returns. I’m pretty sure its not under $20, though!

Nah, it’s really not that important of an issue, I don’t really plan to ever play my Fuze through my TV when I can just use my computer/the Fuze w/ headphones/ a stereo. Also, you have to understand bdb that that general population just isn’t obsessed with sound quality. It’s hard to believe, but as long as it sounds pretty good and it’s affordable, then it’s just fine. The majority of the population uses stock buds more than likely.

Probably true. I don’t think that wanting it to sound halfway decent is some sort of obsession, though. I’m not recommending that anyone spend a lot of money on earbuds (they’re too easily damaged/stolen), but spending a fair amount of money for a good player and then getting cheap buds just to save ten bucks is like putting bicycle tires on a Ferrari.
It depends what you consider cheap buds. I spent $20, I mean, $20 seems like a decent amount of ear buds to me.

You have me thinking about that. Let’s see…
Bicycle wheel, Capagnolo Hyperon 2, $5057.
BBS OEM Ferrari wheels, set of 4 (excellent), $1999.
If I put the bicycle wheels on the Ferrari, I’d
need four, that would be $11,014.
Maybe I wouldn’t worry about the relative price of those earbuds. And the cycle wheels still need tires.
