Another question on SD cards.

Hey guys,

I just bought a 8Gig SanDisk microSDHC card.My question is,do i need to format it before using for the first time?And how do i do that?When formatting under FAT or FAT32?

A new card shouldn’t be formatted. The only time a card should be formatted is if it is not functioning properly.

If a card must be formatted, use the command  

Format  [driveletter]:  /FS:FAT32  /A:32K

 to format it in FAT 32 with 32K clusters.

Yeah, I had mine for 11 months and never formatted it. I erased it every couple months when I formatted the Fuze, but never formatted the card…it always worked fine.
