Hi.

I have 930GB worth of “additional files” on my My Book wich are useless and i want to remove them but i can’t find them. 

If i take a look at the size of all the individual maps on my My Book it adds up to about 400GB. I kind of wanna use the rest to, but i don’t know how to because i cant find it! 

why must this be so confusing?

hi, recomendation would be run DLG, to test for errors, if you dont find any, take the information that you have on the drive and write zero to it, of course, after you get the info out

Additional files, in Smartware, are files that are in the external drive, but were not handled by the software.

For example, files that you have manually copy to the external drive will show as additional files.

Can you access the drive manually and look for these files?

Did you do what oxter recommended?  We can’t help any further if you don’t get back to us.

I did what Oxter said, even before i came here. But I just can’t find the space on the drive! If i add all the numbers up, on the drive, so not trough Smartware, i get to around 500gb max.

This is a simple question but… What is the model of your drive?

It’s a Mybook Essential 1TB. And i find this modelnumber: WDBAAF0010HBK-01, but i guess that wasn’t what you meant
