Acronis true image on wd black D10 12TB game drive

Computer recognized drive and wd data lifeguard sees drive and tests good.
Installed acronis version 2021 38450, on windows 10.
external drive shows as hgst huh721212ale604, connected direct on usb3.
select entire pc then choose your external drive.
acronis responds Plug in your external drive - doesn’t recognize the wd black.

reformatted drive, reinstalled acronis and still no luck.

bought this drive for 7200rpm - faster backups.

Logan S. on wd chat said it should work.

any thoughts??? thanks!

It seems that the software has not been updated in years so it does not handle windows 10 all that good

file history can be leveraged for backups
