the user document downloaded with acronis true home wd instructs me to activate the product using my installation code, it doesn’t tell me where to find that code and there is no obvious activation button: any help?
You do not need an activation code in order to use the program with a supported WD drive (You do when you want to upgrade to the full, non-WD version of Acronis). Which hard drive do you have in your system?
cool, thankyou i used the prog already to make a clone so the hd must be supported (i suppose!) i have a an old acronis product still registered but i don’t think i can upgrade from that as it is so old…so if i do want to get a full version can i upgrade the wd version and if so how? but only if you don’t mind helping and its not to arduous for you…thanks for your already help 
You would need to purchase an upgrade key from the Acronis team. That purchase key can be used with the WD edition of the app.
