My daughter has a 1tb elements drive and while doing her course work for college it has stopped working.
When you connect to pc or laptop says that it has faults on it but you cannot get to the drive to do anything about it.
Any ideas?

It is possible the partition is corrupted or is just a faulty USB cable. I recommend you try replacing the USB cable and try using the drive on another computer just for troubleshooting purposes. If the issue remains then you can try formatting the drive in order to use it again. If you need to recover the data then you should try a data recovery software.
I have tried different usb cable, and different laptops all show same problem . i have tried 3 data recovery programs and none seem to work, says no files found. in windoes i can see the drive and open some folders but
you cannot write to it or copy from it. says the it has two faulty partions.
