I have two 20TB WD Elements drives (WDBWLG0200HBK) but not the space for two power supplies in my rack. Is the included PSU powerful enough for two drives, so that a Y-splitter for the DC plug will do? If not, what would be required? 12V/2A, 4A, …?
Thanks for the link. I’m just going to purchase a 5A supply, like ASIN B0B3M91F9V, that should be more than enough. I assume the WD Elements drives have a 5.5 x 2.1mm DC connector (not 5.5 x 2.5mm)? Unfortunately, that’s not explained on that page. Also, I’m wondering if I may choose a supply with earthed power cable or should avoid that (potential for ground loop)?
