Sansa Fuze start up problem

Hi,

I have a Sansa Fuze 8GB, and to be honest, I pretty much put as much music on it as i possibly could. It was working perfectly fine, until a few days ago when I went topayday loansturn it on and found this note staring back at me:

"Not enough space for Music DB

Please free up to 90MB"

Well, I haven’t added any music to it, other than putting in a memory card, but I removed this card and yet I still get the same message.

If anyone has any advice, let me know.

Mine is doing this EXACT same problem. I am beyond livid as I have spent like 6plus hrs this week trying to fix it. It’s bad enough the Rhapsody software is complete junk, Glad I know I am not the only one having this issue.

I tried the wall plug and got it to go back to the device software, but when I hooked it up to the computer and started Rhapsody sure enough, it was one big cluster of a mess. I formated the device on the device itself as well as in the software and the stupid playlist kept showing up after formatting, so then i deauthorized the computer, the device, deleted Rhapsody off my computer, reinstalled it, reauthorized, and so and on for hours, Then I find this post.

I do belive my issue is Solution 2 on the page the poster above, only problem is when I click the link for “Format using Windows Disc Manager”  it takes me HERE http://kb.sandisk.com/app/error/error_id/1

Not much help.

Sorry if I have a bad attitude but im beyond angry as I have wasted so many hours trying to fix this.

Seems to work OK for me:

Tapeworm Thank you very much! It’s formatting now thanks to the link you posted. It’s taking a long time unlike when I did it through Rhapsody software or on the menu on the fuze itself. Hopefully this works!

Well It did not work. Got a pop up saying it did not format successfully. Is my fuze bricked?

Well, that’s not good! Formatting should only take a few seconds. Why don’t you just format it through Windows? Right-click on the player’s drive in Windows Explorer and select Format… > FAT32.
