Could someone please tell me who/where i contact to return this faulty drive that has write protection please…

Depending on when you bought it, and that dealer’s return window you could return it to where you bought it, or contact SanDisk Tech Support/Customer Service directly.

Note that SanDisk will not refund you any money, but only replace a defective product under warranty.
