I bought an E250 at Radio Shack yesterday, brought it home and begane the installation process of software on my laptop. I downloaded and installed the Updater, then followed the on-screen instructions. When I checked the E250 for the firmware version it tells me I have the oldest version. So I began the update process at which point the screen on the E250 read “Writing” and the little arrows are animated. That was about 10 p.m. last night, as of right now, 7:32 a.m. it still reads “Writing” and the little arrows are animated. How long does this take? Do I need to stop the process, reset, and restart the updating procedure, or what?
mine does that, you can disconnect it at anytime since it looks like the fw update has finished. Windows has not advised the player it has finished using it.
