Firmware updater crashes during install

I’m trying to install the firmware updater.  It seemed to download ok, but when I run it, I get a Windows “Setup.exe has stopped working” error.  I’ve downloaded twice, with the same results.

My OS is Windows Vista Ultimate and I’m starting the installer using “run as administrator”.

Any ideas what I should try next?

i only use vista home premium, and it works fine for me…

try disabling UAC (User account controls ) and see if that helps any
