C-150 problem with updater

i have downloaded the updater for my c-150 and it goes through all the steps until the actual update where theres the screen with the update button. and it says reconnect it in recovery mode and ive tried all the seguestions but nothing works so whats the real way to put it in recovery mode. and the computer doesnt detect it either im doing this because it freezes at splash screen during startup.
