New CF card with "Test" photo?

I bought a Ultra II 8GB card from a seller on Ebay.

When I put it in my digital camera I saw there was a picture present.
I made a complaint and told him the card wasn't new and I therefore paid too much.
The seller told me he receives these cards in bulk and they are being tested using a READ/WRITE appliance.

That should explain the "test" picture on the card.
I find this to be a little bit strange and wanted to ask whether this is normal.

Should I get a refund?

I am sure it is not new.

But I would also be worried that it is not a genuine SanDisk product.  Calling SanDisk is the only way to get the real answer to that.  But if it was fake, I would surely get my money back.

lol, new cards do not come with "test pictures". try running data recovery on the card, you might get some really good pictures:smileyhappy:

If they were brand new they would not have to be tested by the seller. They would have already been tested by the manufacturer.
