The default setting in Europe for the Fuze is MSC.
I read a lot of reviews and the user manual before I got my Fuze, and I can’t remember where I saw it (is it in the manual)? But yes, I’m in the UK, and it was in MSC mode out - of - the - box (firmware 02.01.09F). I had to find out the difference between MSC and MTP (I’dd never heard of either) before I got the player, so I knew I needed MSC, and the first thing I did was go to ‘Settings’ to change the mode - but didn’t need to.
When I updated to 02.02.26 - it was still in MSC, didn’t change to autodetect.
I wonder why they make this difference between Europe/USA?
