Player supporting 128GB micro SDXC cards?

I find it ironic that Sandisk makes fast 128GB microSDXC cards, yet none of the players they make support these. It seems like with the Sandisk firmware all cards faster than class 4 may be problematic. None of Sandisk’s players support microSDXC cards, although with Rockbox installed, people use microSDXC cards formatted as FAT32 on the Clip+, Clip Zip, Fuze, and Fuze+.

as long as the card is formatted in FAT32 any of the sandisk player can use the 128 or 200Gb cards for that matter but you are still limited to the over all database limits of the player. This is why large cards are not recommended.

Yes, the database is a problem. Also the speed is probably a problem as well, as Sandisk firmware seems to have issues with cards above class 4, and there don’t seem to be any class 4 or slower micro SDXC cards.

Very variable, depending on the card–some are just fine, others less-so, apparently.  Of course, going in knowing is a good thing . . . .
