Can't connect to usb

My dad needs to add songs or put some on to his computer but because it's his work computer, they don't have any media players. How can I get usb mode without forcing it? He has the v2 c250(but shows up as c240 on the computer) but the usb isn't found under settings.

Re: Can't connect to usb

You need to update the firmware.

I already updated the firmware but everything's the same.

Re: Can't connect to usb

I'm almost certain that a later v2 firmware was released that restored the ability to select your USB mode. You should choose MSD/MSC mode, not the Windows-Media-Player-specific thingy (MTP?).

There's ignorant, and then there's willfully ignorant. The first is simply part of life, the second is a choice.
