white screen of hell

i have had my sansa view for about 6 months.  went to turn on the screen and the screen is or was white with 2 colors,  then it showed a black line representing a crack with a gaping hole.  I tried turning on the device and it no longer turns on.

is there a one year worrenty?  and could i get this device serviced or repared if i send it in to sandisk?

Re: white screen of hell

If you bought it new, and the screen went bad for no reason, you should have a year warranty. Call SanDisk & see. If the screen got damaged somehow (accident, dropped, etc.) Think it will be tough luck. As far as I know, they don't do any repairs. You might be able to find someone capable of fixing it.

I'd call SanDisk & see what they have to say. (cause hey- you never know!)

Re: white screen of hell

It depends on the nature of the screen crack. Call SanDisk and they might ask you to send pictures of the device while on and off.
hehehe
