Playlist in MSC Mode

I have read most all of the threads on creating playlists on the VIEW using MSC mode. I have also read several articles from other sources (M3U). What I cannot get working is for the VIEW to actually display the playlist when disconnected from the PC.

I have copied the playlist to the root, music and playlists directory of the VIEW.

What is the secret to getting playlists to display when created in MSC mode?

Re: Playlist in MSC Mode

I'm having the same problem. So far, it seems that the View is expecting a PLA playlist not M3U, but I haven't been able to get PLA to work either.

Re: Playlist in MSC Mode

There is no way (that I know of).  I believe Sandisk wanted to get rid of MSC mode initially, since older US versions of the firmware don't even allow you to select MSC. The Sansa E200 works fine with playlists in either mode, but E200 was initially made to support both modes.  They COULD fix it in the next firmware release, but don't hold your breath.
