The only reason I bought the View was becasue it looked like it would be great for movies. I finally was about to put Transformers and Ironman on it and the sound is out of sync. I know there are tons of people out there who have tried different programs to prevent this.
Is there anyone out there from the Sansa team that knows the BEST free software to use?
I have been using DVD Shrink then Any DVD to convert to MP4. Things seem fine when playing the movie on my computer but when I use the SMC to put it on my View things get Jacked up. Is it the SMC that causes the problem? I would think so.
Or can there be a firmware update to prevent this form happening? Just asking.
Any help would be appreciated.

don't use smc just put the file directly into the video folder in the view.
you could also try handbrake instead fo anydvd (http://handbrake.fr)
try these settings
the post talks about linux but these settings work for the windows version of handbrake as well.

There is also a useful tutorial for Any DVD / Video Converter stickied on the view forum page:
I also found when using WMP11 to transfer videos that videos formated for my Zune play fine on the View. I don't remember if they had to be re-encoded by WMP11 or not though.
