Re: How to get the old firmware back??

I haven't been on this site for over a year now, got my wife a View for Christmas 2007, and went crazy with making a playlist and playing with firmware.  Think I forgot everything I learned about it.  Something about moving the slide switch down for a half a day to get into the root directory where you can even save your old firmware, did that and still see it on my computer, ver.  01.01.06A.  Her View is still working great, and still using ver.  01.01.06A, but recall going to a later version and having nothing but problems so went back to the original.  If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Yes, I also use the 06 firmware. I transfer MP3 in MTP mode as MSC seemed to be inconsistent. I transfer MP4 video forcing MSC mode and it seems to work well.
