good or not: mediamonkey volume levelling for sansa fuze

i've just tried this. it worked. it's great that on shuffle the track play at a level volume. but i think it's taken away something from the tone. what's your opinion. e.g. lamb of god - wrath sounds like the drums are less prominent

Never saw a need for leveling. If you rip all your songs at the same bitrate that should be pretty close to level already.

The volume leveling basically adjusts your volume control automatically. 

 

The perceived change in tone is because the level is dropped.  The ears frequency response is well known to be volume sensitive.
