Really have the Fuze working well now with new ripping software!

Know I was a pain on the forum in the past. Know little about computers and less about portable players. Asked a lot of stupid questions. After struggling with numerous rippers (EAC, Freerip, Media Monkey, Express rip, Windows Media Player, etc.) have finally found the one. The dbpoweramp ripper is so easy to use. It rips to FLAC. It compares tag info on different sites and adds it automatically. It even compares your rip to other users for accuracy and adds the album cover art - all automatically! Also adjusts the offset of the dvd drive used for ripping. It can’t be simpler. If this software came with the Sansas it would cut problems to almost 0. The software has a 20 day free trial. After that $36 buys it. Never thought I would be able to do all this so easily. It also sounds incredible in FLAC. Not connected with the company in any way. Just darn happy. Now I want better in the ear phones than my Denons.

thanks

Good choice.  EAC and dBPowerAmp are pretty much the only options for accurate ripping.  EAC is free and far more customizable (with the REACT add-on), but it requires a good bit of technical knowedge to use.   dBPowerAmp is not free and is not as customizable, but it’s very easy to use and well worth the money.

Once upon a time dbpoweramp was freeware.

last free dbpoweramp

Note: You can’t upgrade or update it. Later versions are not free.
