Can anyone tell me how to unlock this thing? Right now, it won’t turn off! also, my Firmware updates always fail. I tried downloading the update manually, but mistakenly saved it into a BIN file and it asks me what to open it with and I don’t have a clue.
I got it to turn off. I don’t know how to get to the root folder to drop the extracted file in. I can get to the folder with albums, audiobooks, music, but what do I do then?

That _ is _ the root folder (or directory). Drop the .bin file in there alongside of the other folders, Un-plug from the computer; the player will shut down. Re-start it and it will display an undating firmware message. When it’s done, it will ask you to select a language and region.
Done.
