Long term docking/charging ok?

I got one of the Griffin docking stations and it’s working fine. Can anyone tell me if it is ok to leave the Fuze docked for long periods? I have it plugged in to a 120 V wall socket/ USB adapter, so it would be charging all the time.  Might the Fuze be damaged by prolonged charging?

Thanks for any advice,

John

All lithium based batteries take damage from being overcharged.

It seems like the quality of your battery only depends on its age.

The Fuze blanks out the display, and the processor switches to a trickle charge once the battery is sufficiently charged, so long term charging while docked should not be a problem.

Now, if I’m off to Zimbabwe for a month or so, I’d probably unplug the Fuze, and would most likely take it along.

Long term, as long as the ambient temperature of the battery is cool, there should be no issues.

Oh I wondered why the screen blanked out when I’ve been busy after charging it.  Good to know.
