Another echo.

In the future, please follow the advice suggested in this post:

and quit repeating what others have said.

If you have iTunes, you use the converter that is right up in your “Advanced” menu to convert M4B to MP3.

Or you may follow this guide to convert M4B to MP3, WAV, WMA, AIFF, AAC, FLAC, M4Aetc audio format on Mac or Windows

I use iDealshare VideoGo to convert M4B to MP3, M4A or WAV.

It works great, it even can split M4B with chapters to MP3.

Well, you are a fool to use a paid programs when iTunes will do it simply, easily and free.

Or perhaps you are a shill.

Wow, your first post . What a surprise. Don’t believe the hype.

I have never been happy to have iTunes installed on my computer.  I do not like it’s system footprint.

So without itunes, you can still easily convert.  And there is no option to pay for this software, so I’m not selling a thing.

  1. Download VideoLan Client.  You can search for “videolan client” or “VLC” on google

  2. Start VLC and choose “Media / Convert / Save” from the menu bar, or press Ctrl-R

  3. Select the file using the “Add” button, then press “convert/save”

  4. Create a new profile, call it “Sansa”. The “new profile” button is next to the deletion cross.

  5. In “Encapsulation” tab select Ogg/Ogm

  6. In “Audio Codec” tab turn “Audio” on, select codec “Vorbis”, and change sample rate to 22050Hz

  7. Press save

  8. Copy the book name into the “destination file” box and press “Start”

That’s easy if you use some professional audiobook converter. This one could work well for you: http://www.tuneskit.com/audiobook-tips/convert-itunes-m4b-to-mp3.html

You shills never stop, do you?

Sounds like some spam needs reporting.

I think the VLC player instructions landed while I was mocking the previous shill.

VLC is great free software, true, and Sansa will play .ogg files. But whether VLC will actually convert those particular  Apple audiobook files (m4b) is something someone else will have to try.

M4B is a great format for keeping bookmarks of audiobooks, the only problem is that some players or devices don’t support it so well. So you can convert to a playable format, I will recommend you to try to convert M4B to MP3 or AAC. If you are interested, you can take a look at the tutorial. M4B is a file extension for an MPEG-4 part 14 audio layer audio book container file format used by iTunes. An M4B file is very similar to an M4A file but specified for audio books. Programs that can open M4B files include iTunes, Windows Media Player and Roxio Creator. So if you want to play it in Sansa Fuze, you’d better remove the DRM from the .M4b with some audiobook converter and convert it to common MP3 format.

M4B audiobooks from differnet source have differnert solution when converting them to MP3. Taken iTunes M4B audiobooks as example, iTunes audiobooks are also encoded in DRM technology, which prevents you playing audiobooks from iTunes on authorized devices and players. As for converting iTunes M4B to MP3, you need to remove DRM protection from iTunes audiobooks. So you need to equip with a special M4B converter, like Audio Converter for Windows that is also a DRM removal software.

Good news is that this Audio Converter for Mac is also available for DRM-free M4B audiobooks. Put it another, you are able to convert DRM and DRM-free M4B audiobooks to MP3 with using the one tool. Hi, in your case, I think Joyoshare Video Joiner can help you. I used it to combine several audiobook chapters together. It can also be used a converter that helps you to convert M4B to MP3 without quality loss. By the way, it allows you to do that for free 5 times.

you have to load a converting tool on your computer to convert files’s format, so that you can transfer it on other devices, i use AMusicSoft Apple Music Converter, it’s free and easy to use, and the most important thing is that it allows you to convert in batch, so it can really saves you a lot of time

I love to use only online converters because I don’t want to install the app for something that I use one time yearly. For universal converter I love to use freeconvert and converter365, and for m4b I use M4B to MP3 converter
